How to Set Up Square


With this integration, individuals and entrepreneurs from the US, Canada, Japan and Australia can accept debit and credit cards on their iOS or Android devices.

Step 1. Set Up Integration in Your Square Account

For the integration with the payment gateway system, go to your Square account or create a new account.

To create a new account, tap Start a Square Account.

    Agree to Square's Terms, Privacy Policy and E-Sign Consent and tap Continue. Then you will be redirected to the Square Developer Portal

    If you already have a Square Account, please open the Application dashboard and click New Application.  

    Enter the name of your new application, Agree to the Terms of Use of Square and click Create Application.

    You will be redirected to the Credentials tab. Press View legacy sandbox credentials on the Legacy Sandbox tab and copy Legaсy Sandbox Application ID & Legaсy Sandbox Personal Access Token modes.

    Press the Locations tab and copy Location ID. To access your new sandbox credentials, just toggle the switcher on the bottom of your navigation.

    Step 2. Set Up the Payment Method in Flowlu

    Go to System settingsFinance Payment Methods & Templates and click the Create button. In the opened form, select the Square option.

    Details

    Specify the system name of the payment method, for example, Square, the button name (it will be displayed when viewing the invoice online) and, if necessary, the description of the payment method as an explanation for your portal users.

    Specify from which organization you will issue the invoices using this payment method. Organizations are created in the Flowlu settings, in the same section.

    Choose the type of a payer, depending on who you will issue the invoices to. There can only be contacts from CRM (individuals), only companies (legal entities) or both.

    In the Ordering column, you can specify the numerical order in which the button will be displayed. The smaller the number, the higher in order the button of payment through this payment system will be displayed. It is relevant if you plan to use several payment systems.

    Configuration

    At the Configuration stage, insert the previously copied Credentials and Sandbox Application ID, Personal Access Token, Location IDLeave the Account type switch in the Sandbox position and click the Next button.

    Complete

    In the next step, select Activate the payment method option and press the save button. The integration setup is complete.

    Step 3. Test the Payment Method

    To conduct a test payment, create an account from the organization specified in the method settings and select the client account.

    Copy the external link and follow it. In the invoice, the Square button will appear, using which you can make a test payment.

    After successfully testing the online payment, activate your Square account in the payment method settings:
