How to Sort Tasks by Lists?

Method #1. Using the Inbox Folder

The flow of thoughts and ideas which occur and distract from the main work should be put in this folder. Tasks can be recorded as quickly as a new thought came up.

As soon as you finish working with important tasks, go to Inbox folder and do all the written tasks, the performance of which will not take more than 2 minutes. Delete outdated tasks, move more complex and long-term tasks to the list you need by one of the following ways:

  1. Drag&drop method—left-click and hold the task, move it to the name of the right list and release it.
  2. The settings are in the task edit form. The field which sets up a link is located at the very bottom.

You can sort tasks from the Inbox folder by folders with dates, by projects and work areas.

After you move a task to a certain list— the name of the task will be displayed in the task list.

We strongly recommend considering tasks from the Inbox folder in order not to create similar tasks and not to forget to implement new ideas.

Method #2. Allocate Tasks by Lists

When you have assigned tasks so that they are already sorted by folders with dates, projects, work areas or are delegated, you can additionally allocate tasks by contextual lists. This allows immediately to go to the list you need and implement all tasks from such list.

It is more convenient to allocate tasks by lists from All folder. This way, you will not miss a task. You can also sort all tasks from Assigned to the folder to see your own tasks as well as delegated tasks.

Tips and tricks:

If the task list is huge—scroll down task menu to the left. This way it will be more convenient to sort tasks by Drag&Drop method.

Method #3. Creating Tasks in the List You Need

Go to the list you need and create a task by Quick task add or Create a task button. Task will automatically be linked to this list.

Each user has his own task lists

As for structuring tasks, everything is strictly personal. The users are not able to see other’s lists, only their own. 

Each colleague creates and structures tasks by their own lists. For example, one task may relate to task list named Design by a project manager while it can be displayed at task list named Edit by a designer.

Adjusting and Deleting Lists

Editing and deleting list button appear after dragging the mouse cursor over its name.

1 – change existing list;

2 – delete list (tasks will not be deleted)

Go to the list you need depending on the situation and implement all tasks in a row. You will never have to think about what is more important to be done right now. The relevant and structured task list will help you to get rid of stress and free your mind for new ideas.
