Action: Request a Response

1. To request a response automatically, click the "Create" button and select "Request a Response"

2. Specify a name for your automation. This should briefly outline your automated action. For example, "Request a response when the article is updated". It will be displayed on the automation board.

3. Set the trigger event.

  • Create — runs when the article is created.
  • Updated — runs when the article is updated.

4. In the Run field, choose a time when specific action (sending notification) will occur:

  • Immediately. The automation rule is run immediately after the event is triggered.
  • X minutes/days/hours after the Current time.

5. Add the condition that must be met for your rule to continue running. For instance, the request should be created only if the article marked as important.

6. After previous automation rule. You may set up the sequence of automation rules.  This option empowers you to create a sequence of actions when your rule is not to be run before the previous rule is applied.

7. Add a description of the request that will be displayed in the notification feed. In Flowlu, you can automatically replace data with information provided in the article, by which this notification will be created. To do it, use variables that can be found by clicking on "three dots" button on the right. All main fields of the article as well as custom fields can be used in the variables.

8. Set the user from which the request will be sent.

9. Add one or more recipients of the request. For example, use the "Article: Author" variable to automatically substitute the author of each specific article.

10. Click Save to apply your changes.
